ARCTIC BOUND
A snowy owl stares into one of the last sunsets of the winter. After spending the last four months gorging on voles and other small rodents in western Washington, this fattened-up owl is about to embark on a thousand mile journey to the north, where it will spend the rest of the year in the arctic.
